Switzerland is a country you cross by train and remember by mountain — Zurich and Geneva as the gates, Lucerne’s lake and chapel bridge, the Jungfrau railway above Interlaken, and the Matterhorn standing over Zermatt. Whether you have a long weekend in one city or a week on the scenic lines, there’s an experience worth booking.
BookYourTrip brings together thousands of Switzerland tours and activities in one place, powered by Viator — with real traveller reviews, live prices and instant confirmation. Browse by category, compare your options, and book securely on Viator in a couple of clicks, at the same price you’d pay them direct.
Everything you need to know before you book.
For the classic cities and the Jungfrau / Lucerne circuit, the train is the simpler option — the network is dense and the mountain railways are part of the trip. A hire car helps if you want to stay in smaller valleys or hop between regions that the scenic trains don’t connect in a day.
It is the most expensive mountain railway in the country, and the weather at the top decides the day. Book a tour that includes the ticket and a clear cancellation or weather policy, and keep a lower-altitude backup (Schilthorn, First, or a Lucerne lake day) if the forecast is poor.
From Zermatt, yes — the village exists for that view. From Zurich, Geneva or Interlaken it is a long day of trains; an overnight in Zermatt is the better call if the mountain is the point of the trip.
Your booking is held by the tour operator who runs the tour — you book and pay them directly through us — so cancellations and changes go through them, under the cancellation terms you agree to at checkout. Many operators offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, but it varies by tour, so check the terms before you book.
Jungfraujoch, Glacier Express seats and summer mountain railways sell out first. Book as early as your dates are confirmed, especially between June and September.
